Guelph Contra Dances welcomes new and experienced contra dancers.   

With the occasional exception, our dances take place on the second Friday of every month between September and June, and start at 8:00pm.

The dances are held at St. James Anglican Church Hall (see map inset) at the corner of Paisley Road and Glasgow Street, in the heart of old downtown Guelph. The Hall features a superb sprung hardwood floor, excellent acoustics, easy access and FREE PARKING.  Enter through the double yellow doors on the West side of the church, opening on to the parking lot.

Admission is $10 at the door, and $8 for students.  Street shoes/boots will not be permitted on the dance floor, so please bring dance shoes.  If you are new to contra dancing, we recommend that you wear loose, comfortable, layers of clothing.  It's not a bad idea to bring a water bottle too.
